SUHHHWEEEET! :)

SWEET deals today! I got this vintage sears lantern! It looked unique and so I bought it for $2. Well, I looked it up and its selling for $120! Score!

I got this Webster's Dictionary from 1963 just because I like books :)

Another steal...I got this vintage lunchbox for $1. It is selling online for $80. I have soo many cute ideas for this piece. I am trying white vinegar to get the rust off...maybe baking soda and water/paste? Or lemon juice?

Yay for a great day of finds!

Corner Table to Match Coffee Table - plus other treasures!

Ok, so this is the other table I got for free with the coffee table on the side of the road. The other project I already completed and this one I did to match. Once I finally move my plan is to do a "travel" theme in my living room downstairs. I first painted the table with a white primer after sanding it...
Then I spray painted a layer with white paint. Then I painted this German design on it. I printed out the design on some sort of tracing paper and then rubbed it on with the back of a pencil and painted over it.
It looked too plain so I decided to do some more...
And painted Deutschland on it for Germany. I did a Costa Rican table because I lived there and loved it and this one because I lived in Germany for 3 years when I was young.
It's complete! I love it!

I can't wait to decorate my house. I got this bread box for $2. Should I stain it or paint it...?

This stretches out and can go on the wall and has a bunch of knobs on it to hang things off of. It can go in the entryway or in the laundry room...
This is a really old suitcase that I had to rip the laminate out of the inside and spray it with bleach because of some mold...I think I got it all? I'll take a picture of the outside later...its a neat, old piece!
A good shelf once I sand it down and re-paint it...
I found this today and love it! It would be perfect to hang on the wall or outside or somewhere! $1.
I talked to my mom the other day and we talked about looking for coasters that i could paint to go with my Coffee table and side table and I could paint all the different countries I have visited....one on each coaster. And the first day I'm looking and I find this! It is super cute and will look even better once I fix it up!
Two old cameras I bought. I paid $2 for this one...It is selling for about $10 on ebay - so isn't that great but I like it and will put it up for display...
This one, I paid $3 for and it is selling for $100+ on ebay. What makes this one worth so much?
Good finds today! Hoorah and yay for vintage items!

Good Finds with Minimal money spent

Ooops, forgot to add these two top photos. Random two old magazines I got.
Some cool glass 7up and diet slice glasses from 75,76 and 77.

A couple of these may be repeats at first, the ones below are new ones I got over the past few days.
An old notebook that hasn't been used

Cool peanut thermo mugs.
Cool clock deal.
I don't think I've posted this one before. This is a really neat old nut container. Not sure how old or if it was made to look old, but the guy I bought it from said it was old - so, who knows. It was from a garage sale for $2 I think. I've had it for at least 6 months.
I will repaint this shelf but it will be super cute on the wall with some things displayed on it.
I got this for .50 cents yesterday to go with my small coca-cola section...
I got this because I have a big red, old gumball machine and I thought this smaller (newer) one would look really cute next to the big one. It was $2.
Two vintage (well this one is 92' but worth $20 because it is crayola) tin cans...

Good finds without spending too much money these days! But I figure I spend about the money on good deals that the regular American spends on coffee. :) So its a win win for me and I get to enjoy my treasures for years to come. What do those drinking coffee enjoy? But a moment of satisfaction and an addiction necessary to now remain headache free and to stay awake for the day. :)

DIY PROJECT!

This coffee table I got for free on the side of the road. Cost of all the supplies is approximately $8-$10. Cost of time: 20-25 hours to make this project.

Step one: paint the table
Finished painting it! One layer of primer painted on. Then sprayed a can of white on top.
Step 2: Lay out all the letters that I cut out from the circut and decide how I want the table to look.

Step 3: Out line all the stencils and start hand painting!
Step 4: After you paint it all then take sand paper and distress the table a bit and the table legs.
Step 5: Wipe the table down and spray it with clear mat spray paint to protect the table!

It turned out EXACTLY as I wanted it to. These are all places I lived or visited in Costa Rica plus "Pura vida", the most common saying in Costa Rica. And also I snuck in the word love in Spanish - amor.

Accumulation of the past weeks finds

This is called a rain lamp. If you can see all the strings down and the "poles". What you do is you put oil in the bottom and there is a pump inside the sucks up the oil and then drips down and the light on top reflects off of the oil dripping down making a "rain effect" hence the name - rain lamp. Unfortunately the pump is not working so I am going to see how much it costs to replace the pump...
I got this chest at the as is. After I sand it and stain it, it should look good.

Not really sure if this is very old but it's cool and I used to love Cracker Jack.
Sideways, but I have plans for this little guy. A magazine holder I plan to sand and paint white or something...
A cool clock...
Another old dart board...

A cool container I plan to paint and put a different word or design on...
Two cool avon bottles that I plan to possibly use as book ends?
A cool medical bottle...
This one below was free, just on the side of a road and I'm sure I can use it to decorate or something with.
Coolest 7up container. It is insulated to hold sodas or keep things cold at the beach or something.
A got this DVD holder for $10.
I have around 190 DVD's ....crazy!
